come at a steep price, but look no further than the Ritz London, the charming iconic luxury hotel in Green Park. Notting Hill, anyone? From all my 20+ afternoon tea experiences, the Ritz is the reigning champion of the scone. Light, fluffy, and buttery…just how I like them. They’re served warm, with clotted cream and strawberry preserve on the side. The waiter will keep replenishing your scone stand until you’ve had enough, which may not be for awhile. The scones are generally part of the afternoon tea experience, but I reckon you could order them a la carte. Now, whenever I try a new place for scones, especially across the pond, I can’t help but to feel spoiled by the Ritz London.
