Dumbo, the Flying Elephant in Uganda

Uganda was on my mind today, so I decided to look through all my pictures again. Here’s a small glimpse of my trip from last year. It’s an elephant we spotted on the side of the road on the way to our safari at Queen Elizabeth National Park. We got out to take pictures, and I bent down to get a good angle, but before I could hit “click,” the elephant had an agenda of his own, flapping his ears in full force, getting ready to ram me and show me who’s the boss. So what do I do? I stand there, unwilling to yield, and take pictures until I’m satisfied with the results. Foolish maybe, but hey, I’m still alive and have a great photo to show for it. I guess you CAN have your cake and eat it too! 😛
