Fashion-Forward Macarons: Lanvin Designs for Ladurée

Love fashion and macarons? Yah, silly question, who doesn’t?! International fashion house Lanvin has teamed up with French confectioner Ladurée for a special edition box of macarons. Designed by Lanvin’s creative director Alber Elbaz, the whimsical, playful images of women that adorn these collectible boxes is enough to catch anyone’s eye. But it gets better. Elbaz even collaborated with Ladurée pastry chef Vincent Lemains to create a brand new flavor–bubblegum–a flavor exclusive to this collection. So expect to find a set of 8 fresh, newly-designed bubble gum-flavored macarons inside every box. Yum!

The sugary, stylish delights will go on sale on September 25 in France, just in time for Paris Fashion Week, while the U.K, the U.S., and Japan will follow on September 28.

The fashion house relays the inspiration behind this fashion-forward, sweet collaboration:

The Lanvin creations of Alber Elbaz not only make women beautiful, but also prove that sweets and beauty can go hand in hand. They say that a delectable air of childhood surrounds those with a soft spot for sweets; this playful aura still follows Mr Elbaz, despite his role as a prominent couturier today.

I can’t wait to try these!
