Travel Tip #15: If you’re a Louvre Museum aficionado, admission is free on Friday evenings, the first Sunday of each month, and July 14th.

For all you Louvre Museum aficionados, whether it’s your 1st time or 30th time, it pays to know there are certain times and dates that admission is gratis. Every Friday evening, from 6p to 9:45p, admission to permanent collections is free for people aged 26 and under. It’s also free on the first Sunday of every month (for everyone) and on Bastille Day (July 14). There’s also membership options available, which is what I ended up doing. With my total 26 visits to the museum, I absolutely did full justice to the fare of the card. Membership options come with a variety of perks and are totally worth it if you’re in Paris for an extended period of time and plan to visit the museum often.
