Travel Tip #9: Use household items like straws and buttons to organize jewelry in your luggage.

As a last-minute packer, one of the things I would inevitably do is clump all my jewelry pieces together and shove it in my luggage, only to spend an hour untangling it when I got to my destination. Frustrated and irked by having to do this every time, I did a little research online and found two very simple, yet genius ideas on how to organize jewelry while on the go. Google, once again, saved the day and showed me how to prevent tangles in my necklaces and how to keep my earrings from getting lost in the crowd. So, without further ado, for necklaces, unclasp the chain, thread it through a plastic drinking straw, and re-clasp. Voilà! For earrings, put the earrings through the button holes and screw the backs on. And voilà again!
