Making their way around blogs all over cyberspace today are New Year’s Resolutions. Although I’m not one to really make resolutions, there are a few goals I have that pertain specifically to my website. I’ve put a lot of time and effort into my website, but there’s always room for improvement. With only four months in the blogosphere, there is a ton that I have learned and continue to learn with every passing day. And from the bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you, thank you to each and every one of you who reads and shares my content. It is YOU who gives me inspiration to want to learn and write more. Yes, YOU. *super grateful*
As 2012 comes to a close, here are a few wrap-up statistics from my four months:
Number of Views :: 39,500
Number of Posts :: 337
Most Viewed :: Photo Essay: Autumn in New York City
Number of Countries Vistors Came from :: 144
Highest Number of Comments :: FortheIntolerants.com (Thank you, m’dear! If you haven’t already checked out her blog, you should probably do that now. You’ll thank yourself.)
And in no particular order, here are 5 of my personal goals for The Cultureur as we move forward into 2013:
1) Project 365: take a picture daily to create a visual record of my days in 2013.
2) Be better about putting watermarks on my pictures.
3) Move to a self-hosted server.
4) Create more 24/48 city guides.
5) Meet some of the fabulous fellow travel bloggers in real life.
With that, I declare 2012 closed for The Cultureur and hope to “see” all of you in 2013! Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year! Cheers to many more amazing travels, cultural experiences, and culinary adventures! =)
