Travel Tip #12: Use brightly colored luggage tags to stand out on the baggage claim carousel.

If you insist on using black as the color for your bags (Hey, I do it too! It’s super chic!), opt for bright luggage tags that will stand out in the sea of black suitcases on the carousel. It’ll be easy to identify, even from a distance. Another problem with having so many black bags is that many of them tend to look alike and you can very easily mistakenly pick up someone else’s bag. Now, that’s a mishap nobody wants to even think about, but it CAN happen and it CAN be easily averted with unique colorful tags. I use red patent leather luggage tags that I can literally spot the moment it’s pushed onto the carousel. I never have to worry about taking someone else’s bag or taking bags off to check if they’re mine. You can even personalize them with your name, address, favorite quote, etc. With sites like Etsy and Zazzle, the sky is the limit in terms of colors, personalization, shapes, patterns, etc. luggage tags
