Just as the title says, back up your photos, heck, back up all your files and your website, if it already doesn’t have an automatic backup feature! And then maybe backup all of that! As someone who has had to suffer through a hard drive crash AND an external hard drive crash, it really pays to have a backup of your photos on a reliable source. I’ve lost a good chunk of my photos pre-2006 because I always thought it would never happen to ME. And lo and behold, I got the screen of death, not once, but twice. Photos are usually the only tangible items remaining from a trip, so having to lose those mementos is really, really painful and frustrating. There are tons of great solutions out there, such as Dropbox, Mozy, CrashPlan, just to name a few.
