Drink loads and loads of water throughout the day. Whenever your body becomes dehydrated it draws on its water reservoirs, one of which being your skin, and sucks out all the moisture it can find. The resulting dry skin, not only looks unattractive but it also speeds up the appearance of wrinkles and other age-related skin deterioration. Aside from skin, there are endless other benefits to drinking water, such as weight loss and better digestive health, just to name a few.
To find out the minimum amount of water you should be drinking, use the following formula: take your weight and divide it in half. The resulting number is how many ounces of water your body requires for optimal performance. Pretty simple. This is just a guideline, but listen to your body, as everyone has different needs.
The best way to get all that water in is by carrying a bottle with you at all times. I have an aluminum bottle that goes with me everywhere, and I often find myself reaching for it, even if I’m not consciously thirsty. That mindless consumption turns into about 100 ounces/day.
